Well, that was a hell of a long day, and an amazing run for tanner. If you didn’t catch it live, or in person, tanner lit up his first heat this morning with Jordy Smith, Dion atkinson, and Wiggoly Dantes. Some of the biggest backside bash combos landed tanner first and into the round of 32. One of the biggest heats of tanners career… the waves today were going ape shit. pretty much man vs nature, as you could barely see the other competitors the entire 30 minutes out there. i would know, i had two heats to day and so did dane, unfortunately we went down, but not without frothing hard for tanner’s success! Tanner’s been on a terror this whole hawaii season, Posting a huge heat against parko and pancho at Haleiwa, and now here again at sunset. Tomorrow, he goes big against Joel again, Taylor Knox, and young brazilian Alejo Muniz.
